Kevin's English Cafe will resume in April!English Cafe is your chance to speak English about topics that interest you. If you want to chat with me, please feel free to join me on Zoom on Mondays in 2022 (12:15-13:00)..You can also stop by my office during that time for a combination Live/Zoom meeting. Zoom invitations are posted on Manaba. A new schedule will be posted in April 2022. Connolly-sensei will also have English Cafe with a separate Zoom link. His meetings will be on Tuesdays from 12:15 (?).

Tokyo & Yokohama Walks 2012-2019
San Francisco Tours 2011-2019In August of every other year, I take Tsurumi University students to San Rafael, just north of San Francisco, on a 3-week study tour at ELS on the Dominican University campus. In recent years, Suzuki-sensei also goes to San Rafael. See photo albums of the tours on this site and on the Tsurumi University English Dept. site. 2011 - 2013 - 2015 - 2017 - 2019 - (Due to COVID-19, we had no overseas tour in 2020 or 2021.)
University of Regina visits 2013-2019I visited our students at the University of Regina five times. (In 2017 and 2018, Sugano-sensei took on the task.) Camilla Townsend Visit - June 2018
In June 2018, Rutgers history professor Camilla Townsend visited Tsurumi University. She attended Book Cafe and gave a lecture entitled "The Princess of the Forest as Translator: What Pocahontas and Mononoke Can Teach Us*. Buck Woodard Visit - Nov. 2017

Namamugi Incident Walk 2014
In past years, I have organized a walk to Kamakura as a special edition of English Cafe, but this time (Nov. 30, 2014), we walked from JR Higashi Kanagawa Station to Musashikosugi Station via the famous Namamugi Jiken location near Tsurumi University.
